    Standard fixture

SP-2100 comes with necessary hardware to run 180 ° and variable angle skinning geometries. No need to run a separate instrument for ASTM D-1894 friction coefficient. A simple hardware modification can convert between different geometries. The system directly reads the coefficients. Except for the single hex wrench provided with the system, no other tools are needed for conversion.

    Variable angle peeling fixture

Easy to install and disassemble for use with other lighting fixtures. Adapt to peeling angles ranging from 67 ° to 180 °. The angle interval of the pin index is 22 half º, but any other angle between them can be interpolated using the built-in scale. This fixture receives a panel that is 2 inches wide by 6 inches long. Optional wide-angle lens mount for 2.375 inch by 12 inch panels.

Vacuum fluorescence display can be adjusted to any of four brightness levels for comfortable viewing in any ambient lighting level. The 4-line 20 character display screen is the medium for communication between the tester and the operator. It displays instructions, data, and statistical information, and warns of potential issues. From the beginning, the setting and operation instructions of the dialogue style are easy to learn and follow. The display screen has an automatic dimming screen saver.

    Global adaptability to power supply

One model can adapt to a global range of power supply voltages and frequencies. The instrument will automatically adapt to any power source ranging from 90 to 264 VAC, 47 to 63 Hz.

    Imperial, metric or SI units

The system accepts setting commands and generates data in units of force and pressure plate speed selected by the operator. This further expands the overall adaptability of the instrument and ensures that it will not become outdated. You can even mix units (e.g. grams/inches/minute).

    Set Memory

When booting up, the system will remember the final selection of units, speed, and functionality. S can save and quickly call up to 7 different custom settings.

    Specialized embedded microprocessor

All controls and functions are included in a single independent tester module. It has been connected to the pressure plate driver, force measurement system, front panel display and its serial interface. This system can save time on setting up, running, expanding, calculating, and recording tests every day. It also eliminates many possibilities of human error occurring during these tasks.

    Test parameters

The following diagram illustrates a typical friction or peel force curve as a function of time or pressure plate travel. Cycle T1 (delay time) enables the test force to reach a certain dynamic equilibrium. The only attribute measured during this period is the static peak value. This is crucial for characterizing the soft film crystal bonding technology, as it represents the static friction coefficient. Cycle T2 (average time) determines the position of peak, valley, average, and RMS forces in motion. The average value is related to the dynamic value and the average peel strength of the soft film overlay bonding technology. Most of the characteristics of interest that characterize PSA occur during the T2 period. Time T1 and time T2 can be independently selected by the operator, and their optimal values will vary with the testing speed, available sample length, and allocated testing time. The RMS (root mean square) force data unique to IMASS instruments can quantify the random force changes near the average during testing. It may be related to "zipper", "vibration" or "stickiness".

    Automatic balancing and calibration

Save SP-2100 operators from time-consuming calibration and balancing procedures. Simply touch the button to achieve balance (zero) and check the calibration (span) of the force system. It is needed when powered on, and the operator can call it at any time. Operators don't even have to worry about range selection. For example, knowing that the measured values will have the required resolution and accuracy, they can be changed from a low force release test of approximately 10 gms to a high force peel test of approximately 1000 gms without the need to reconsider the range.

    Standard SP-2100 Data Output (DataLink21)

To fully utilize the automatic data processing capabilities of SP-2100, all you need to add are relatively inexpensive XP-PC and printers. SP-2100 communicates with your PC using its standard RS-232 serial port. Contains two Data OUT programs, one of which can be selected using the program selection menu. These have been tailored for two basic testing environments using slip/peel testers, both of which record testing conditions including speed, average and delay time, and other "header" information.

    StatsLink21

Similar to Comlink3 used in SP-2000. This is a highly structured program that can meet the strict reporting requirements of users manufacturing and testing certain critical products, especially those used in the medical field. The test data is processed in batches, usually containing 3 to 10 test samples (the program can accommodate up to 25 batches), and statistical data is automatically calculated, including the mean, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation of all test parameters in each batch. You can choose the graphics of the test data. StatsLink21 has several data formats that can interface with central servers or LIM systems.

    ExLink21

It is a "more relaxed" data recording system that can simply record continuous tests involving a sequential mixture of samples and test types. It will automatically load all data into Excel ® In the spreadsheet, provide graphical representations for each test. Table data is included line by line in Excel ® On the first page of the Book, each graphic follows closely behind, with each graphic located in the Book ® On consecutive pages.

    Pressure Plate Drive System

Driven precisely by a DC position servo motor with encoder feedback. Power return. Operator selected speed units: inches/minute, centimeters/minute, millimeters/second. The pressure plate speed range is 0.2 to 300 inches per minute (0.5 to 762 centimeters per minute) (2.5 to 127 millimeters per second). You can choose any "user" speed within this range of resolution. The pre selected fixed pressing plate speeds are 6, 12, 17, 90, 127, and 300 in/min (15, 30, 43, 229323, and 762 cm/min) (2.5, 5, 7.2, 38.1, 53.8, and 127 mm/s). Each control and setting button has been clearly labeled with its function. The jog function allows for quick and accurate repositioning of the pressure plate. Left and right soft limits can be set anywhere within the available travel range (30.4 centimeters). Manually position the knob and move the pressure plate without the need for a power supply.

    Drive capacity

    25 lb (10 kg)

    Typical applications of preset speed

6 in/min is the ASTM standard speed used for COF testing. 12 inches/minute is the PSTC standard used for pressure-sensitive adhesive testing. When used with a variable angle stripping fixture for a 90 degree setting, 17 in/min can provide a pre stripping speed of 12 in/min. 90in/min is the standard of 3M Company *. When used with a variable angle stripping fixture for a 90 degree setting, 127 inches/minute can provide a pre stripping speed of 90 inches/minute. 300 in/min is the measurement unit corresponding to the TLMI standard speed and follows the same relationship as the SI unit.

    Force measurement system

Precision strain gauge type weighing sensor, fixedly installed to avoid inertial effects. There are 3 battery capacities to choose from -2 kilograms (5 pounds), 5 kilograms (10 pounds), or 10 kilograms (25 pounds). Each system comes with one. Unless otherwise specified, a weight of 5 kilograms (10 pounds) will be provided. Perform unit calibration according to IEEE 1451d4 (TEDS). The system automatically recognizes the cell capacity and scales it to the result. The optional units of force are grams, ounces, pounds, newtons, and COF (without unit ratios).

    Analog signal conditioning

A special low-noise linear circuit is fed into a 16 bit A/D converter to perform real-time conversion of analog force signals. The delay time (T1) can be selected as 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1,2, or 4 seconds. The average time (T2) can be selected as 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, or 50 seconds. The force signal is measured at a maximum rate of 4000 samples per second during both T1 and T2 (delay and average) times. The maximum number of samples in T1 is 800, while the maximum number of samples in T2 is 4000. According to the operator's selection of T1 and T2, the sampling rate will be automatically set to remain within these limits.

    data processing

Digital data is used to determine static peaks, motion peaks, valleys, mean values, and root mean square (RMS) forces in selected units. Display data after each test. Diagram of the relationship between force and time. Printing data is an option selected by the operator. You can input comments on the keyboard.

    ExLink21 program

Similar to the Entry Link used in SPEC-1. The test condition summary and list data will be automatically uploaded to the user's PC and occupy Excel ® The next row in the spreadsheet. Generate Excel for each test on consecutive pages of a spreadsheet (book) ® graphical. Operators can mark data (from panel controls) as needed to reject. Due to its design for handling sequential combinations of test types and samples, internally generated statistical information is not available in ExLink21. A spreadsheet file is a total numerical record.

    StatsLink21 program

Similar to Comlink3 used in SP-2000. Generate batch statistical data determined by the operator: the mean, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation of all five test parameters. Thumbnail images can monitor each test and merge all test images into one print table. Table data can be directly loaded into Excel ® In the middle. Generate an archive file for each batch, which can be reloaded into the program for reanalysis at any time. Provide access to raw graphic digital data pairs for external analysis. Printing output and data storage can be fully automated. Four different types of data files can be directed to any file directory or folder specified by Windows. This simplifies the connection with LIM or central server
